Superstars including Kaiser Chiefs, Little Mix and The Vamps will help Hallam FM celebrate their 40th birthday at a Summer Live gig - we have THIRTY tickets to be won by 12 noon on Tuesday, writes Graham Walker

Summer Live is one of the biggest pop parties of the summer and it’s at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena this Friday, July 18.

Ruby hit makers Kaiser Chiefs are expected to play their number one smash to celebrate Hallam FM’s very own ruby anniversary.

Fresh from opening Glastonbury - and performing to thousands of fans at Doncaster racecourse - their latest album, Education, Education, Education and War went straight to number one. Other hits include I Predict A Riot, Oh My God and Everyday I Love You Less and Less.

Front man Ricky Wilson was a coach this year’s BBC 1’s The Voice and he will be reunited with one of the contestants he mentored, also on the bill, Sheffield’s singing sensation Jessica Steele.

Little Mix stars, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, the first group to win X Factor, are back to the venue they recently sold out. They topped the charts with Cannonball and Wings, have had top 10 hits with DNA, Word Up and Salute, selling over 5.4 million records worldwide.

X Factor finalist Ella Henderson, whose debut single Ghost also hit the top spot, is on the bill ahead of her debut album release, Chapter One.

The Vamps, who released their debut album this year, have already had three top 10 hits with Can We Dance, Wild Heart and Last Night.

Katy B, the dubstep, R&B, funky, house and UK garage singer, whose chart hits include Katy On A Mission, Lights On, Broken Record and Crying For No Reason, makes an appearance ahead of her headline gig later this month at Sheffield’s Tramlines.

Australian pop punk and pop rock band, 5 Seconds Of Summer, had a number one with She Looks So Perfect. Other hits include Don’t Stop and Amnesia. They rose to international fame when One Direction invited them on their Take Me Home Tour.

Ella Eyre, who has been to the top of the charts with Rudimental, on Waiting All Night, and featured on Naughty Boy and Wiz Khalifa’s Think About It, will promote her debut single, If I Go, set for release this week.

Jess Glynne, best known for featuring on Clean Bandit’s 2014 number one single Rather Be and Route 94’s My Love, reache number four with her recent debut single, Right Here.

Four piece Brit girl band Neon Jungle, Shereen Cutkelvin, Amira McCarthy, Jess Plummer, and Asami Zdrenka, have had chart success with Braveheart, Trouble and Welcome to the Jungle, Also schedule to perform are Foxes.

Hallam FM’s Breakfast show host Big John, who will present with other DJs and pals, said: “It’s Hallam FM’s 40th birthday this year and we are doing lots of amazing things - one is to book this huge party, for one night only, at the Motorpoint Arena, with live music from today’s biggest stars.

“We want everyone to celebrate with us. So bring as many mates as you want. The more the merrier!”
