RESIDENTS in Chesterfield were treated to brass band music and a free supper at a concert organised by community police officers.
A 100-strong audience watched a performance by Holymoorside Brass Band and tucked into a pie and pea supper at The Eagle Club in Littlemoor, and took part in a raffle.
Prizes included wine and sherry, along with goodies from local shops.
The event was organised by PCSOs Adele Chapman-Jones and Janis Naylor, from the Chesterfield North Safer Neighbourhood Team, with funding from local councillor Tony Rogers.
PCSO Chapman-Jones said the audience had a fantastic time, saying: “The band were excellent - we do a lot of work with the youngsters so we wanted to offer something for the elderly people who don’t get out much.”
