Sheffield’s Arctic Monkeys have postponed their sell-out homecoming gig this Saturday due to front man Alex Turner suffering from laryngitis.
Sheffield Motorpoint Arena bosses and concert promoters apologised as they confirmed the concert will now be held on Monday, November 18.
The Sheffield-born four-piece pulled out of gigs in Birmingham on Thursday and Glasgow Friday but had hoped to go ahead with their Sheffield date.
A spokesman for SJM concerts said: “We regret to advise that Arctic Monkeys must postpone their show at Sheffield Arena on Saturday November 2.
“Regrettably Alex Turner is suffering with laryngitis and is not well enough to perform.
“The show at Sheffield Arena will now take place on November 18. All tickets will remain valid for this show.
“We wish to apologise to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact the customer services at the box office you purchased your tickets for any further assistance.”
