A Sheffield singing group is inviting pupils at local schools and colleges to design an album cover for its festive CD.
Sheffield Harmony wants students to produce an original piece of artwork for the cover of their album, Christmas Crackappella, which is being released next winter.
Young people aged 15 to 21 can enter the competition, which will be judged by Sheffield Harmony President Elaine Carter and chorus sponsor Peter Holmes of Mercury Taxis.
Elaine said: “We’ll be looking for an eye-catching cover on a Christmas/musical theme. We are certain the young people of Sheffield will come up with some striking, innovative entries.
“It’s a great chance for young people to showcase their talent.”
First prize will be a £25 HMV voucher plus a copy of the CD and two tickets for Sheffield Harmony’s Christmas concert 2014.
Entrants must submit their work in a 12cm x 12 cm format to Sheffield Harmony Art Work Competition, 19 Totley Hall Croft, Totley, Sheffield, S17 4BE by April 30.
Those in need of inspiration can hear Sheffield Harmony rehearsing at High Storrs School on Monday, April 7 from 8pm to 9.30pm.
