Young film buffs can win prizes

Have your say

BUDDING film reviewers can win prizes - and have their work published in The Star - by entering a new contest.

Children who send in their reviews will feature in the Class Act educational supplement if their work wins the competition from education charity FilmClub.

The only rule is that the movie they review, from Harry Potter to the Hunger Games, must have been adapted into a film.

Readers aged from seven to 18 will have the chance to win a popcorn maker and a DVD and see their review published.

Prizes will be announced to tie in with World Book Day on March 7.

Reviews must be up to 250 words in length.

Email your review by Friday, March 1, to with the subject Sheffield Star/FilmClub Review Writing competition, stating your name, age, and the name and address of your school.
