A South Yorkshire hotel is getting into the summer spirit by serving up a mouth-watering seasonal cocktail menu.

The Copthorne Hotel on Bramall Lane, Sheffield, has created a selection of fruity cocktails which customers can enjoy in the Sheffield sunshine.

Katarina Csizmadiova, the hotel’s food and beverage manager, has been shaking up cocktails for years and is the mastermind behind the new menu, which includes strawberry cheesecake, strawberry champagne and Pimms trifle.

She also offers masterclasses in the hotel’s bar for groups to learn how to rustle up cocktails for themselves.

Katarina said: “The first time I did a cocktail class was lots of years ago in Germany. Afterwards, I had to go to so many websites to try and find all the special ingredients to re-create the cocktails at home.

“We have been doing cocktail masterclasses here for two years and I always try to use very simple ingredients and as few spirits as possible so they are easy to re-create at home.”

“I like my cocktails quite sweet but really strong - that’s my Slovakian roots! But some girls like cocktails because you can’t taste the alcohol you they should all be tailored to the individual.

“Hen parties just want to get tipsy so I make it quite alcoholic with a pink and girly theme. As long as they enjoy it I know they will come back to us.”
