Here’s a break from the sauvignon/chardonnay rut.
These Viognier grapes come from the Periliho Estate in the celebrated Colchagua Valley.
Crisp and refreshingly light in body and texture, there are melon, apricot and tangerine hints, all lifted by a sharp citrus acidity.
Refreshing on its own on a hot day, or great with something like honey and ginger glazed pork and roasted vegetables.
A bit pricey normally but the Majestic offer makes it well worth a go.
