Netto Wolfhouse Pinot Noir, £4

You can snap up a cheap pinot noir at most supermarkets, but often it tastes that way too. It’s a delicate wine which pairs with most meals, though poor versions tend to be lacking in flavour and overly acidic. Netto’s Romanian pinot noir is a find. It’s light on the palate with no trace of tannins, a light acidity and just bursting with aromas of cherry and strawberry. Buy lots of it for Christmas - it will go very well with turkey.
