A live lobster tank will be a fishy focal point at a new restaurant opening on Sunday.
Anchorage Bar and East Coast Kitchen in Sheffield’s West One Plaza will dish up a modern take on dishes from America’s east coast in a contemporary bar setting over two floors.
A casual dining bar and deli will be based on the ground floor, with a 65-seat restaurant upstairs where diners can choose a lobster from the tank to be cooked on the grill. Clams, shrimps served by the half pint, steaks, modern craft beers and cocktails will be house specialities.
The interior features retro furnishings, with Chesterfield booths and mid-century modern furniture.
Anchorage is the latest concept of Sheffield-based independent bar brand the Rootstock Trading Company, owners of The Harley, which launched 10 years ago and is a popular live music and food venue, and five-year-old The Wick at Both Ends now in its fifth year.
