Puddings in the park

Have your say

Sweet-toothed foodies should head for Endcliffe Park on September 13.

Yorkshire Pud Inn in the Park promises to be an orgy of desserts.

The event is organised by local food blogger Cindy Cheung, aka Missie Cindz.

Graphic designer Cindy started her Pud Inn Clubs almost three years ago at The Rutland Arms to promote local food venues and producers. In April she moved to London but still organises Sheffield pudding events from afar. “I like to see it as giving back to the Sheffield community,” she says.

Pud Inn events serve up a five-course pudding set menu, with a different theme for each event.

For next month’s event proceeds from ticket sales, a raffle and a sale of cakes made by local people and businesses will be donated to the Sheffield Master Cutler’s Challenge.

It takes place in Endcliffe Park Independent Café (EPIC) on Saturday September 13, 2-4.30pm. Chefs from The Rutland Arms, Silversmith’s and EPIC will be making puddings for diners.

A Yorkshire-themed fancy dress competition and a Pud Inn quiz will be held.

Tickets, £10, are available from The Rutland Arms bar or by emailing puddingclub@missiecindz.com
