The award-winning Devonshire Arms at Middle Handley has retained its place in the prestigious Michelin Hotel and Restaurant Guide.
The inn features in the latest edition of the celebrated guide to the best of Great Britain and Ireland’s dining.
Inspectors praise the restaurant’s menu, saying: “Fresh, seasonal ingredients are at the core of the hearty menu.
“They like to keep things local, with eggs from down the road and meat from the butcher’s opposite.”
The entry also highlights the pub’s smartly updated interior and small terrace.
Owners Jill Swift and Glen Saint, with head chef Russell Caines, have even extended their bid to locally source produce to their wine list.
It now features a selection of local wines from the neighbouring Renishaw Hall estate.
“To have retained our place in the Michelin Guide is a tribute to the continuing hard work and dedication of our team,” said Jill.
“To see our name alongside some of the most critically-acclaimed restaurants in the region makes all the hard work worthwhile and we look forward to welcoming new guests as our reputation continues to grow.”
