LADIES can do lunch in a good cause when local charity Amy’s House, which gives respite care for special needs children, stages a fundraiser at Nonna’s in Chesterfield on July 12.

Stalls for gift shopping and a glass of prosecco on the terrace will precede a three-course Italian lunch and a fashion show staged by Izzi’s boutique at Baslow.

Tickets, £30, are available from Julie Pickering of Amy’s House on 07967 399883 (julie@amyshouse.org.uk) and Izzi of Baslow on 01246 582500.

TOP city chef and former restaurateur Jamie Bosworth is back in the kitchen.

Ex of the Charnwood, Rafters, Bosworth’s at Bramall Lane and Ecclesall Road’s Taste, Jamie went to work in food development for folk like M&S but is now freelance, setting up bistro nights at different venues.

His next event is a pre Jubilee pie, mash and dessert night (£8.95) at the Castle inn, Bradway, on Thursday, May 31. Book on 01142362955.

VINEGAR’S not just for chips and salads, say the Schoolrooms deli at Mill Lee Road, Lower Bradfield.

They’ve just stocked up on fig, chocolate, orange and cinnamon flavours. A drizzle perks up fruit or ice cream.
