CHILDREN can get creative with some sweet treats at a store to mark international cupcake making day later this month.
Children will be invited to decorate cupcakes at the Co-operative Fashion and Home store, Chesterfield, on Friday, June 29, from 11am to 2pm.
Ingredients such as butter cream and sprinkles will be available in the toy and nursery department, along with miniature flags, for youngsters to decorate their cakes with a British theme.
The event also ties in with the Olympic torch passing through Chesterfield at about 12.30pm.
David Elliott, store manager, said: “Making cupcakes will be a great way to celebrate a memorable occasion.”
