Revamped real ale pub the Barrel Inn at Lane End, Chapeltown, opened last Friday, bringing 20 jobs to the area – and a food menu for the first time.
It’s the latest venue to be restored by Enterprise Inns, in conjunction with South Yorkshire-based WL Leisure Ltd. General manager Paul Scott, from Rotherham, says food theme nights are planned.
A CHARITY pie and peas night with live music will be rocking the old Red Lion at Grenoside this Sunday.
The Bus Stop Buskers will play, there will be hand-made meat and potato pies on the menu, an auction and raffle will be staged and funds from the £7 tickets go to Help The Heroes. Last year’s charity event raised £1,755.
