YOUNGSTERS at the Doncaster Deaf Trust have every reason to have a great dinner time.
That’s because the head chef at the trust, which runs the Doncaster School for the Deaf at Leger Way, has won the Chef Award at this year’s Cost Sector Catering Awards.
He was nominated by his employer.
Peter Bartholdy was put forward for his commitment, dedication and passion for the job.
He beat other finalists at the annual awards ceremony at the Hilton London Metropole. The awards take place each year for contract and public sector catering staff.
Peter provides meals for 320 pupils and students, teaches cooking for disadvantaged youths, and has learned sign language.
