Rocco Bounvino produced the award winning show with Stallone at the London Palladium in January.
Stallone is regarded as one of the most popular movie stars of all time, from the breakthrough Rocky in 1976 to his latest blockbuster movie franchise, The Expendables.
He will share private moments and insights from his outstanding career when he is interviewed on stage by Hollywood journalist Sandro Monetti, who is being flown in from the states to host the evening.
It will be an up close and personal experience in an intimate theatre style setting
Stallone has established worldwide recognition as an actor, writer and director since he played the title role in his own screenplay of Rocky, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Rocky grew to a franchise of five sequels and in 2006 the star concluded the series with Rocky Balboa, a critical and audience success which resolutely confirmed both Stallone and Rocky as iconic cultural symbols.
Stallone also wrote, directed and starred in Rambo, which continued the saga of Vietnam vet John Rambo 25 years after the debut of Rambo: First Blood.
His most ambitious project, the action thriller The Expendables, which he wrote, directed and starred in, saw him hire an all star action cast including Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Eric Roberts, Dolph Lungren and Steve Austin – as well as Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
It opened at number one at the US Box Office – making Stallone the only actor in Hollywood history to open a number one film across five decades.
Monetti, a leading British entertainment journalist based in Los Angeles, reports for the BBC and other major media organisations and has interviewed all of the biggest stars in the world, including George Clooney, Will Smith, Madonna and Paul McCartney.
He is in big demand as a showbiz expert for TV shows & radio programmes.
He is also a Director of the British Academy of Film and Televsion Arts, Los Angeles, and the author of bestselling books Colin Firth: The Man Who Would Be King and Mickey Rourke: Wrestling with Demons.
Stallone though is his favourite movie star and biggest inspiration.
He has watched Over The Top, Cobra and Escape to Victory at least 30 times each. On his 18th birthday, Sandro flew from Manchester to New York just for the day so he could see Rambo III with a pumped up Manhattan audience.
Interviewing Sly in Las Vegas for his boxing series The Contender was a career highlight, getting to interview him on stage in Manchester will top even that.
Raised in Blackpool, he started his journalism career on the Blackpool Evening Gazette before moving into the national press on the Daily Star in Manchester.
He went on to work for Smash Hits, News of the World, the Sunday Express and BBC TV and radio and now lives in Beverly Hills, California, where he interviews Hollywood stars for movie studio events, film academies and other special events. But few come more special than this.
