AMERICAN documentary giant Morgan Spurlock will unveil his brand new film at Sheffield’s Doc/fest next month.

The 40-year-old filmmaker - responsible for Super Size Me, in which he lived on a diet of McDonald’s food for a whole month - will also be holding talks and masterclasses during the five-day festival.

Festival Programmer Hussain Currimbhoy said: “We’re so excited to have his new film, POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, here in Sheffield.”

Sheffield Doc/Fest, now in its 18th year, is the UK’s premiere documentary film event, bringing international documentary makers together.

Hussain said: “This year we’ve got everyone from old school to new school; Albert Maysles - who will be receiving our Lifetime Achievement award. Another highlight is novelist Terry Pratchett, whose film about the bid to end his own life is one of the few to have ever brought me to tears.”

n Doc/Fest runs from Wednesday, June 8, to Sunday, June 12 at The Showroom
