Lights, cameras, action! Or we should say, climb it, bike it, run it, do it – we want you to help us film a special Sheffield longest day video at Cliffhanger, writes Graham Walker.
It’s the city’s biggest outdoor event for sports enthusiasts to complete beginners to watch and take part in a host of adventurous activities at Millhouses Park, this Saturday and Sunday.
See The Star and the Sheffield Telegraph on Thursday - June 19, 2014 - for our free eight page guide to a great weekend out for all the family - climbing to caving, biking to fell running, orienteering, table tennis, water zorbs, free running and more.
But whether you are watching or taking part we want you to be a star of the show.
Cliffhanger begins on the longest day – Saturday, June 21 – and we are setting the longest challenge... to help us film a unique video report on the day.
We want your short video clips taken at the event, so we can capture it through the eyes of visitors and exhibitors.
The film will be shown on a big screen at the event on the Sunday, also at www.thestar.co.uk and www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk.
There will be a cash prize for the clip we judge the best. So bring your video cameras, head cams, mobile phones or web tablets.
We just want your best shots, up to a maximum of 15 seconds, or photos. Bring your device to our editing desk at The Star stand at Cliffhanger.
You can also upload videos, up to 50mb, photos and words using a new Share Your Story widget on our site at thestar.co.uk.
You could upload your videos to YouTube or Instagram and alert us using the hashtag #thestarlongestday – which we will also be using to give updates on the day.
But please get all your clips and photos to us by 7pm on Saturday, June 21.
Cliffhanger is organised by Sheffield City Council in conjunction with Heason Events. For more see www.cliff-hanger.co.uk.
