Love as a war zone is the focus of a new film, Delight - the second movie in Gareth Jones’ Desire trilogy.
Exploring the connections between creativity and libido, it tells the story of a former war photographer’s intense love affair with a younger man, which propels her into exorcising the ghosts of her past.

Building on the intimate, intense style established in his previous film Desire (2009), which probed probed the terrors of writer’s block, Jones turns his attention to another creative impasse - the human cost of journalism.
Delight looks at the human cost of war reportage and the interplay between landscape, memory and truth-telling.
It stars Jeanne Balibar (Grace of Monaco) in her first leading role in a British film, Tim Dutton (The Bourne Identity) and Gavin Fowler (2014 Ian Charleson Theatre Awards Nominee), as well as an all-star Welsh cast including Eiry Thomas, Iestyn Jones, Naomi Everson and Sue Jones-Davies,
The Ceredigion-produced film was Nominated for the Golden St.George when it had its world première in competition at the Moscow International Film Festival 2013.
It will be screened at Cardiff independent cinema Chapter for five days - June 20 to 25 - before its release at selected UK cinemas from August 2.
It will be anchored at Aberystwerth, South West and London. Derby and Nottingham are taking it too.
Welsh director Jones will introduce the first screening at Chapter today - June 20 - at 6pm, followed by a Q&A with the cast, including Eiry Thomas and Naomi Everson, at 7.30pm.
