The Vamps, who have sold 10 million singles, wanted to make sure all fans could afford to go to the show - so even with a 48p booking some tickets could be bought in person for as little as £9.98 at Sheffield Arena.

But all fans will get a spectacular light and sound show from them with a bill also including special guests Conor Maynard, The Tide and Hometown, promised The Vamps drummer Tristan Evans.

The quartet - James McVey, Bradley Simpson, Connor Ball and Tristan - are most looking forward to playing their newer material to UK fans for the first time.

Tristan, aged 21, speaking exclusively to us - listen to his full interview here online - said:: "We're extremely excited. We are in rehearsals now, sorting out the extra production, lights - all that's going on. To incorporate songs from the second album is very exciting.

"We'll be playing the new songs and a medley of cover songs. We'll definitely be playing our old songs as well."

He said of the decision to release tens of thousands of tickets under £10: "Most of our fans are below16, they don't have jobs or much money. We could be business minded and just do a sold out arena tour for £40 a head, but we don't do that. We do £10 and VIP tickets are like £150, £200. You get to the soundcheck and experience more and better seats. But it's very important for us to allow the kids to come at an affordable price."

With jumbo LED side screens and a sprawling stage across the arena floor, so fans can get close to the band and special guests, no matter where they are, it's going to look and sound spectacular, added Tristan.

"We are adding extra pyrotechnics, fire, screens, lifts and all that exciting stuff that looks good. We are just sorting that stuff out now," he said.

Bass player Connor is recovering from knee surgery but he will be fine for the UK tour, said Tristan.

He said: "While we were on tour in Japan a couple of month ago he injured his knee while turning on stage. We were going to build him a big throne on stage, but he can actually move around now, he can walk. He's doing well."
