PLAYWRIGHT and novelist Michael Frayn is being honoured by Sheffield University.
He was this week receiving an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters in recognition of his dedication to literature – the 79-year-old has published 16 plays and 11 novels.
Also being recognised by the university this week with honorary degrees ‘for their outstanding contribution to their chosen fields’ are childcare services pioneer Dame Gillian Pugh, Prof Lindsey Davies, for his contribution to medicine, and Prof Andrew Blake, for his work in engineering.
