Pantomime star Damian Williams has hailed the Sheffield audiences as his long stint in the city ends for another year.
The comedian has been starring as Dame Trot, mother of the title hero, in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Lyceum Theatre for the last four-and-a-half weeks.
The run ended at the weekend and Damian has now headed home to Essex – but not without a message to the people of Sheffield.
He said: “Had a great panto season this year. Thank you people of Sheffield, I’ve had a ball. I love you.”
Damian has been a regular in the Sheffield panto since appearing as Widow Twanky in Aladdin in 2008.
Other roles have included Nurse Nellie in Snow White and Sleeping Beauty and Mrs Smee in Peter Pan, as well as Buttons in Cinderella in 2012.
He will be back in drag later this year in Dick Whittington – but is already thinking about how to better Dame Trot, which included appearing in his pants clinging to a demolition ball in a send-up of singer Miley Cyrus.
Damian said: “On the way home from Sheffield, I kept thinking how am I going to top Wrecking Ball in Dick Whittington.”
