Two South Yorkshire pop icons have been immortalised as statues... made entirely of cake.

Bespectacled Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker, along with Louis Tomlinson from One Direction, have both had their likenesses moulded out of cake, complete with edible painted icing.

The creations have been fashioned by Yorkshire Tea, to mark Yorkshire Day today.

Sheffield-born Jarvis, and Louis, from Doncaster, join Leeds Spice Girl Mel B and Dame Judi Dench from York in the line-up of the nation’s favourite Yorkshire celebrities chosen to be made in a cake form.

The cake sculptures will appear at Kings Cross railway station from today, while a large scale cake teapot will be exhibited at Leeds Station.
