Shivering Sheffielders have come together to be the latest to take on a mammoth icy charity challenge which is sweeping the globe.

Michael Brocklebank organised a 1,000-bucket ice challenge for Handsworth, for which he roped in family, friends and fellow residents to take part.

The chilly challenge, which took place at Handsworth Community Park, saw participants of all ages plunge buckets of freezing-cold water and ice over their heads to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
