Amateur actors in North Derbyshire are putting on a special production of a Rony Robinson play to mark their society’s diamond anniversary.
Eckington City Players are putting on romantic comedy No Love Lost to mark their 60th anniversary.
The play was written by BBC Radio Sheffield presenter Rony and marks his 30th year as a presenter at the radio station.
It tells the story of a couple’s marriage break-up in two chronological threads with a host of colourful characters.
Nick Di Nitto, the society’s chair who is directing the production, said: “The romantic comedy is a great show and promises to entertain audiences.
“The group has been rehearsing hard for the last three months and all are now really looking forward to getting on the stage for the performances.”
No Love Lost is on at The Corner Playhouse in Eckington.
Tickets, priced £10 are available for evening performances from today until Saturday, July 19, except Sunday.
