Cheerleaders and cabaret singers are to entertain crowds at the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Marathon later this year.
Crystal Cheer And Dance will perform some of their stunt and tumble cheer routines as well as street and pom dances, while Directions Theatre Arts will perform a selection of musical theatre cabaret on a mobile stage in Queen’s Park, Chesterfield.
The marathon on September 14 will raise funds for children’s charity Kids ‘n’ Cancer UK, as well as other local charities and causes.
Dance coach Stephanie Miles said: “Crystal Cheer And Dance is really excited to be performing at the first Chesterfield and Derbyshire Marathon. Kids ‘n’ Cancer is a fantastic local charity so we welcomed the opportunity to get involved and support the race.
DTA founder co-founder Julie Cox said: “]Raising funds to support the work of charities both locally and nationally is something we have been involved in for a long time and we have supported Kids ‘n’ Cancer for a number of years now”
