Youngsters put on their favourite superhero costumes to celebrate books.

Sheffield Council organised a day of storytelling, rhymes and hero-themed activities in the Peace Gardens, as part of National Bookstart Week. Coun Peter Rippon, Lord Mayor of Sheffield, visited the event to join in with the fun. National Bookstart Week aims to encourage children to read and become interested in books at a young age.
