A new Sheffield hotel has been hailed as a top performer on the world’s largest travel site.
Halifax Hall Hotel in Endcliffe, which opened almost a year ago, has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award.
The accolade is given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on the site.
The 38 bedroom hotel is run by University of Sheffield subsidiary UNICUS, and is set in the university’s Endcliffe Village gardens.
The building started out as a steel baron’s mansion and then became a hall of residence.
Last year it underwent its third transformation, with a £1.8 million makeover creating a boutique hotel.
“There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by our customers, so we’re pleased that the feedback we get from guests is echoed by the reviews they place online,” said Paul Foster, the general manager.
“As a team we take great pride in our work at Halifax Hall, and after being open for only 11 months, this is a big vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excellence,” he said.
“Thanks all our guests who completed a review.”
