A new Sheffield gallery selling the work of local artists and makers will be officially opened by celebrated South Yorkshire poet Ian McMillan this month.

Popular poet Ian McMillan will cut the official opening ribbon of a new Sheffield gallery later this month.

All Good Stuff, which is located in Butcher Works on Arundel Street, is the first retail outlet to be opened by a new artist-led collaborative enterprise which aims to promote and sell the work of Sheffield artists, makers and designers.

The gallery exhibits a hand-crafted goods made by more than 40 artists and artisans working in the city and surrounding area.

All Good Stuff’s shop opened for business a few weeks ago and has already attracted plenty of sales.

Anne Phipps, All Good Stuff director, said: “There are so many talented local artists and artisans who produce high quality, beautiful things and we know many people love to support local businesses and buy locally hand-made and original work. Providing a city centre gallery-shop run on a co-operative basis is a way of bringing everything together.”

Acclaimed poet, performer and broadcaster Ian McMillan –nicknamed the Bard of Barnsley – will cut the ribbon at a celebration to mark the opening of All Good Stuff on Thursday, July 17, between 6pm and 8.30pm.
