Singers across Sheffield are being given the chance to perform alongside award-winning musicians in a concert later this year.
Sheffield-based promoters Music in the Round are seeking singers from a range of backgrounds to take part in a musical performance celebrating the Portuguese and Indian sounds of the 16th century.
MANTRA: Musical Conversations across the Indian Ocean is performed by The Orlando Consort, distinguished Indian musicians and schools and choirs across Sheffield.
The concert will take place at Sheffield Cathedral on Thursday, November 13.
A workshop will take place on Monday, November 10, at The Montgomery Theatre, Surrey Street, Sheffield.
It will be led by Angus Smith and tabla player Kuljit Bhamra, whose work appears on film soundtracks including Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Participation costs £11 to £16.50.
