Sheffield cinema lovers will be able to pay tribute to legendary actor Robin Williams - who tragically died this week - with a free film event on Saturday.

Sheffield Council confirmed today that the film at the Pictures and Picnics al fresco cinema on The Moor this Saturday morning had been changed from Despicable Me to the 1991 classic Hook starring Williams.

Williams - well known for his classic comedy roles in films such as Mrs Doubtfire and Good Will Hunting, for which he won an Oscar - was found hanged at his home in California on Monday.

The 63-year-old father, who had previously battled with alcohol and drugs addiction, had suffered from depression recently.

Tributes from across the world have flooded in, including from fellow actors who have worked with him in his long career, Prince Charles and US president Barack Obama.

Pictures and Picnics runs on every Saturday this month.

A second screening of Muppets Most Wanted at 2.30pm will go ahead as planned this Saturday.
