The chief executive of Rotherham’s Magna Science Adventure Centre is putting on his dancing shoes for a charity fundrasier.

John Silker is taking part in Safe@Last’s Not So Strictly Come Dancing event at the centre on Saturday, July 19.

A total of 14 couples with no dancing experience will attempt the Argentinian tango and cha cha.

John, who has been training for 10 weeks, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Magna to help out a worthwhile cause. And I am so pleased they are holding the event here. It also means I can get out my old dancing shoes and attempt the Argentinian tango and cha cha. I might have two left feet, but that won’t stop me getting involved to raise money for this excellent charity.”
