Four Sheffield favourites are returning to the city to mark the release of a new EP.

The Dunwells – brothers Joseph and David Dunwell and cousins Robert Clayton and Jonny Lamb – have built a strong fanbase in the city with a series of gigs.

And the Leeds-based quartet have a date at Plug to promote Show Me Emotion, which is released on Monday, September 8.

Singer and guitarist Joe says: “We wanted to get away from the Americana sound we had been labeled with, stripping back the

acoustic guitars, going deeper.

“This EP marks a change in the band, a massive leap forward in my eyes. ‘Show Me Emotion’ says it all really.”

A Plug spokesman said: “The Dunwells are back due to popular demand.

“After an all-conquering and stunning tour in April, The Dunwells return to Plug for this unforgettable and unmissable show.”

n The Dunwells play Plug, Matilda Street, Sheffield city centre, on Saturday, September 13. For tickets, priced £10, visit www.the-plug.com
