More than 200 people are preparing to take part in a charity football tournament to raise money for a hospice in Sheffield.
The football competition at Meadowhall shopping centre has been going on since May, with four rounds taking place during the summer.
The final matches are due to be held over the Bank Holiday weekend. All funds raised will help St Luke’s Hospice care for adults with life-limiting illnesses across Sheffield.
Staff from Meadowhall have organised the event in partnership with the Darnall United Football Project.
Those taking part in the final on August 24 will include teams from Next, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, JD Sport and Sports Direct.
Organisers hope to raise at least £1,000 for St Luke’s, Meadowhall’s charity of the year for 2014.
Meadowhall duty manager Dean Checkett said: “We hope this tournament will be the first of many.
“It has been great getting together with Darnall United, who Meadowhall have sponsored for a three-year period and involve so many employees from different areas of Meadowhall to unite over a good game of football in order to raise funds for a charity which is dear to all of our hearts.”
