A photography competition is being held as part of the centenary celebrations for the Diocese of Sheffield.

Entries are sought which celebrate the life and heritage of local churches and encourage people to explore the buildings.

There are six subject categories – church or churchyard in the landscape, light ritual and season, in memoriam, faith, hidden gems and, for under 12s only, beasts and monsters.

Winners will be presented with a canvas copy of their photograph at a special event at Sheffield Cathedral on November 17.

Prize winners and selected photographs will be used to produce a 2015 Diocese of Sheffield calendar.

All entries should be emailed to communications@sheffield.anglican.org by 5pm on October 31.
