Peak District farms open their gates to visitors

Farms across the region will be opening their gates to the public on June 8 – Open Farm Sunday.

Michael Longworth will be opening North Lees Farm near Hathersage between 10am and 5pm, with farm tours, sheepdog and horse-logging demonstrations, arts and craft activities led by the National Park’s learning and discovery team, and ranger-guided walks.

Other farms taking part include Thorpe Farm, near Hathersage – home of the famous Hope Valley Ice Cream.

Visitors can enjoy tractor and trailer rides and take part in a pollinator survey.
