A pensioners’ art group which meets each Monday afternoon at the Redmond Centre in Carcroft High Street has been getting in festive mood.
Members have finished a three by 1.5 metre mural of a nativity scene set in Doncaster.
Spokesman Enid Eborall said all 16 members of the group had made a contribution to the painting, which took them about a month to complete, using watercolours and gel pens.
“We like to do something for the wall every year and I just had a flash of inspiration that we should try something different, by putting Doncaster locations and famous landmarks in the nativity scenes, and everybody had added something to it.”
The mural will be taken down after Christmas.
