Festive cheer at country park

A COUNTRY park will be full of Christmas cheer over the weekend when Santa settles into his grotto for the festive season.

He will arrive at Clumber Park on Saturday and switch on the Christmas lights.

Children will be able to visit his grotto every weekend until Christmas.

To mark the start of the festive season on Saturday rock’n’roll band Ruffas Folk will perform from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

The Nave in Clumber Chapel will be decorated and visitors will be told the Christmas story and have the chance to make a Christmas Angel.

Craft activities will also be taking place throughout the day.

There will also be a Reindeer Trail every weekend, where children have to look for Rudolf and his friends in the Pleasure Grounds.
