Fans meet The Vamps in Sheffield

Waiting for Video...

Hundreds of screaming girls queued up outside HMV Sheffield today to meet teenage pop band The Vamps.

Lead guitarist James McVey and drummer Tristan Evans were at the signing to greet the 600 fans lucky enough to have grabbed a wristband.

Queuing outside the store, the fans could hardly contain their excitement to meet their idols.

Shannon Bates, aged 16, from Rotherham, said: “We’ve come to see them because I have loved them since they first started. I told my mum I just had to come.

“I’ve only had half an hour’s sleep because I wanted to make sure I got up on time.”

Jessica Bamford, also 16, from Rotherham, said: “They are amazing and they can actually sing.

“I’m so excited to meet them for the first time. I’m going to ask them to follow me on Twitter.”

Once inside, the queue snaked around the whole of the first floor of the HMV store and when the finally boys arrived everyone started screaming.
