NEWS: News.

NEWS: News.

the chance to climb into the cockpit of one of the RAF’s 1950s jets is on offer at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum in Doncaster this weekend.

Opoen Cockpit and Family Activity Days at the Airborne Road, Lakeside, attraction take place on Saturday and Sunday.

It is a rare opportunity to get into the cockpit of a Vampire, which epitomises the jets of 1950s Britain during the early record-breaking jet fighter age. Other cockpits not usually open are available to enter with volunteers in attendance and one has wheelchair access.

Children can make and fly a paper aeroplane on Sunday.
