One man and his cat will star in this year’s Christmas pantomime at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre - the classic tale of Dick Whittington.
The story of the boy who set off for London to seek his fortune in the big city opens on Friday December 5 and runs until Sunday January 4.
A highlight of the show will be a specially created costume for the pantomime Dame, who will be played by Damian Williams.
Directed by Paul Hendy, Dick Whittington follows on from last year’s smash-hit production of Jack and The Beanstalk.
Sheffield Theatres has signed up a new sponsor for the production, East Midlands Trains.
