There is only one way to celebrate a really special birthday – with a great big party.

A community nursery in Sheffield marked its 10th anniversary in its current building with a celebration for mums, dads, carers and children.

The Bizzy Bee Family Children’s Centre, School Road, Beighton, began life as a simple playgroup more than 25 years ago when a group of mums set up in a church hall.

In 2003, the group was given a grant from a local regeneration fund which paid for the current building and led to an expansion of services for more families.

Lisa Burgin, manager, said the party marked the anniversary of the opening of the new centre.

She said: “The children were entertained by a musician and we had visits from Peppa Pig and Mr Tumble.”
