A child at war remembers

The next speaker for members of Doncaster and District Family History Society is James Roffey, from the Evacuees’ Association, talking about the life evacuees had in some of the homes they were placed during the Second World War.

It is entitled An Evacuee’s Experience, and he will be relating his own experiences as well as those of other people from the era. The talk on Wednesday, November 28, at Doncaster College For The Deaf, Leger Way, starts at 7.30pm. Admission is free for members, £2 for visitors.
