WIN: Sheffield Adventure Film Festival prizes - VIDEO

Waiting for Video...

CYCLING uphill, on the bottom of the sea and wearing an oxygen tank, certainly gives new meaning to adventure.

But the scene, from film Line Of Sight, is only one of many daredevil acts in the spotlight at the eighth Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, March 1 to 3.

Wing-suit flying, parkour, kite surfing, paragliding, skateboarding, snowboarding, ski jumping, mountain bike stunt riding and more all feature.

VIDEO: Press the play button for a sneak peak of video highlights from this year’s festival.

There are 80 adventure, travel and extreme sports films across six screens at the city centre’s Showroom cinema.

Red Bull will host free Cityscape Cinema outdoor screenings of Red Bull Rampage 2012, about mountain biker Gee Atherton, and Ryan Doyle Travel Story, with a Q&A guest appearance by the free-running legend himself, at the Amphitheatre, South Street Park, above Sheffield train station, on Saturday, March 2, 6pm to 8pm.

Tickets and full festival details at www.shaff.co.uk.
