DREAM a dream – and you could be off to see Les Misérables like never before, on the IMAX big screen at Cineworld Sheffield from Friday, January 11, writes Graham Walker.

The Star aznd Sheffield Telegraph has has teamed up with our pals at Cineworld to give away IMAX and general screen tickets to see the blockbuster that every musical fan is talking about.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway, it is the long-awaited motion-picture adaptation of the global stage epic, featuring hit songs I Dreamed a Dream, Bring Him Home, One Day More and On My Own.

The world’s longest-running musical, a spectacular interpretation of Victor Hugo’s epic tale, is still breaking stage box-office records everywhere, in its 27th year.

Now it is about to be seen by millions of others, brought vividly to life in this 158-minute Working Title/Cameron Mackintosh 12A film, from The King’s Speech’s Oscar- winning director, Tom Hooper.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.

Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe).

When Valjean agrees to care for Cosette, the young daughter of factory worker Fantine (Hathaway), their lives change forever.
