Epic, due for general release on May 22, reveals a hidden world unlike any other, telling the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good, who keep the natural world alive and the forces of evil, who wish to destroy it.
Amanda Seyfried, who played Meryl Streep’s daughter in Mamma Mia, voices the lead role of Mary Katherine, a teenage girl, who finds herself magically transported into this secret universe.
She must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters to save the world.
The all-star cast of voices includes Beyoncé Knowles, as Queen Tara, the Mqueen of the forest, Colin Farrell, Chris O’Dowd, Josh Hutcherson and Pitbull.
Epic is produced by Blue Sky Studios and directed by Chris Wedge, the director of Ice Age and Robots.
