FORMER CANADA international Chris Szysky – the last man to score a league championship winning goal for Steelers – was back on Sheffield ice at the weekend.
And he found the back of the net again, too, in friendly hockey match designed to help raise £50,000 for a bowel cancer early-detection machine for Weston Park Hospital.

Alongside "Disco" was ex Steeler, Nottingham Panthers and Cardiff Devil, Dion Darling, former Sheffield sniper and Belfast Giants coach Ed Courtenay and Steeler / Giant Mark Dutiaume.
They all played their part in a hugely enjoyable friendly between two Sutton sides, teams which also included current Steelers Mark Thomas and Jody Lehman and Scimitars' Ron Shudra.
Szysky, 32, scored the league winner in Nottingham in 2003 and told The Star: "I have won a few championships, but that goal, that feeling, was the best one. It was great to be back for such a good cause and catch up with old buddies."
Steelers' coach Dave Matsos was watching the game for the sidelines and admitted to some misgivings at never bringing Ruff to Sheffield.
"Sheffield were after Ruffer for years – and then he goes and signs for Sutton Sting!"
