A NEWLY designated restaurant with rooms in Windermere, the Hideaway, might be tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, but visitors have been flocking there in their to sample the scrumptious Brownies concocted by chef and owner, Richard Gornal .
Having undergone a refurbishment, to provide many boutique style rooms within its Victorian Lakeland building, The Hideaway, feels its carrot cake is also hitting the spot, appealing to those who like quirky experiences. The smaller and traditional comfy double rooms are £90 midweek and £110 at weekends, per room, per night, including breakfast. Super Comfy's are £130 and £150 respectively and Ultimate Comfy Doubles £160/£190. Telephone 015394 43070 or email: eatandstay@thehideawayatwindermere.co.uk
