TIGERS face one of their toughest tests of the season when they go to Reading tonight in Premier League action.
The Berkshire outfit are back in the Premier League after two years in the Elite and have assembled a side strongly fancied to challenge for the title.
Sheffield are at full strength for the Smallmead trip and will stay overnight before heading to
the Isle of Wight to defend their 14-point lead tomorrow.
Team Manager Eric Boocock said: "Reading are a cracking side and are particularly dangerous on their own track, but we have to go there with the right attitude and the belief that we can win.
"We have riders capable of winning races there and under the new system where there is an extra point available for an away win we simply have to go for it.
"It's good to be back in competitive action after the Hull meeting last week and we know we face two tough meetings in as many nights, but it will also be a measure of how we're progressing as a team.
"It's all well and good winning at home, but for a team to be successful in the league this season they have to win some away meetings."
Reading include teenage sensation Joe Haines at reserve in place of the injured Danny Warwick and Nicki Glanz comes in for Jamie Smith.
Haines is a regular for Workington this season and made a guest appearance for Reading in their televised meeting at the Isle of Wight last Tuesday.
