ROTHERHAM United look set to miss out on transfer target Michael Boulding.
Millers manager Mark Robins had expected a decision from the 32-year-old striker by the end of this week.

It seems likely that he will opt to go elsewhere.

League One Scunthorpe are reportedly interested in signing him and Bradford City are the latest side to be linked with him.

Rotherham were one of several clubs who held talks with Boulding when he left Mansfield following their relegation to the Blue Square Premier.

Scorer of 25 goals last season, he was always likely to attract a lot of interest.

The fact that things have gone on for so long without a decision from him suggest that the Millers will miss out.

Robins is still seeking a target man after the departure of Derek Holmes and hopes to pursue that one over the weekend.

The Millers players reported back for training yesterday at their new training base of Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.

Among those there was young winger Steve O'Connor from Everton.

He had an outing with the reserves last season but had to return to Goodison Park with an ankle injury.
